What is Advice Plus?
Advice Plus is a new service for Church Street residents so you can have one point of access to dozens of specialist advice services.

What can you get advice about?
Housing, immigration, jobs and training, benefits and tax credits, debt, crime and noise or health. Local Church Street Councillors will also be at every session. For a full list of agencies then see the column to the right.

What if my English isn't great?
Importantly there are also Arabic and Bengali translators to help make sure the advice is understood.

Why Advice 'Plus'?
This advice service has an added bonus: they will help parents coming home after collecting their children from school to focus on accessing the advice they need whilst their children can play to their hearts content in a regular crèche that will run along side it. There will also be health benefits for parents who can get a massage or a free health check whilst they wait; for older people there will be specialist advice for the over 50s such from finance to consumer rights as well as activities they can sign up to to keep them healthy in mind and body.

When and where is it?
It will be in the second Wednesday of each month in the Greenside Community Centre (view map), Lilestone Street (Lisson Green estate) between 3-5pm Dates in 2009 are: 9th September, 14th October, 11th November and 9th December.

How much does it cost?
The service is absolutely free to residents.
